Therapy is happening
and children don't even realize it.

Pulling wagons full of soil strengthens muscles, tending a garden enhances coordination, and climbing a mound improves balance. Setting up a farmstand strengthens social and language skills. All outdoors, typical kids play together with children with challenges. Friendship and independence is fostered and understanding and empathy are a natural byproduct. Staff are on hand to assist parents and children so that everyone can participate. Therapy is happening, and children don't even realize it.

PlayGarden Preschool

Discover the magic of the PlayGarden!

Surrounded by fabulous teachers, your child will discover a world of magic at the PlayGarden! Who knows, while foraging our gardens, summiting "Mt. Jordan", inhabiting the tree fort, or traversing the Wild Zone, preschoolers just might stumble upon our NEW permanent fairy houses installed throughout the park. AND they'll find that our bunnies, chickens and geese are as enchanting as ever!

At the PlayGarden we offer developmentally appropriate nature-based programs for kids of ALL abilities. Spots are available for children with special needs!

PlayGarden Preschool (ages 3 - 5)

At the PlayGarden Preschool we play outside, celebrate the seasons, make friends, grow our own food, include everyone, and have lots of fun!

The PlayGarden preschool curriculum is based on the Council for Environmental Education's curriculum, Growing Up WILD, an early childhood education program that builds on children's sense of wonder about nature and invites them to explore wildlife and the world around them. Through a wide range of activities and experiences, Growing Up WILD provides an early foundation for developing positive impressions about nature and lifelong social and academic skills.

This curriculum is correlated with both Head Start Domains and The National Association for the Education of Young Children's accreditation criteria.

Monday through Friday with the option of enrolling 2-5 days per week.
